In contrast, Obama, in his acceptance speech in Denver, said:
"Washington's been talking about our oil addiction for the last 30 years, and John McCain has been there for 26 of them. In that time, he's said no to higher fuel-efficiency standards for cars, no to investments in renewable energy, no to renewable fuels. And today, we import triple the amount of oil as the day that Senator McCain took office."
"Now is the time to end this addiction, and to understand that drilling is a stop-gap measure, not a long-term solution. Not even close."

This woman is a right-wing anti-environment pro-hunting evangelical idiot. Yes, her "values" will appeal to many Americans, but as you saw in Obama's Denver speech, the rest of them (the majority) have no reason to vote Republican and every reason to vote Obama-Biden this fall.
Great coverage btw!
Yes, she's in favour of aerial hunting of wolves and bears, despite it failing on two state-wide ballots in Alaska.
She racked up $20 million US in long-term debt as the mayor of a city of 8500 people.
She's subject to an ongoing probe into her firing of Alaska's public safety director, who had reportedly refused to sack Palin’s estranged former brother-in-law. The public safety director was replaced by an official who had previously been suspended for sexual harassment.
It goes on and on!
It's a bit like Boris and his resigning advisers! Wonder how the money is on Palin being forced to step down and McCain having to choose another running mate before all is said and done... it would be the final nail in the coffin of the Grand Ol' Bastards.
